Our App In-Depth: How to Reserve an Amenity

Now that you’re all moved into your luxury apartment here at The Pointe North Hills, it’s time to start enjoying our community’s amazing amenities. Some spaces – like the Conference Room, Poker Lounge, or Sports Simulator – must be reserved ahead of time. Do you know how?
Reserving a space in our clubhouse is easy to do thanks to our handy resident app!
We’ve already shown you how to RSVP to events and get great deals using the app, so this should be easy. Let’s get started!
Step #1: Get the App
Before we go anywhere, you need to download our app. If you already have it, skip to Step #2!
If you need help finding our app in the App Store or Google Play Store, just search for “Active Building” and select the app that pops up.
Once you download the app and submit your information, the system will sync your information to your resident account here and prompt you to register. Then, you're in!
Step #2: Tap the Right Tab
On the home screen of the app, you will see three lines in the upper lefthand corner of your screen. This is the menu where you can find all the resources provided in our app.
Scroll down until you see a tab called “Amenities” and tap on it.
Step #3: Select an Amenity
Within the Amenities tab, you will see there are so many amenities to select from:
- Movie Theater 1 & 2 (Yes, we have two!)
- Conference Room
- Banquet Room
- Poker Lounge
- Tanning Room 1 & 2 (Yes, there are two of these also!)
- Sports Simulator Lounge
For each amenity, you will see a Weekday, Saturday, and Sunday option. (For example, Weekday Conference Room, Saturday Conference Room, and Sunday Conference Room.) This is because we our amenities are open at different times, depending on the day of the week.
Make sure you find the correct amenity and the correct day for the date you wish to make a reservation, otherwise, the amenity will not be available at the right time for you.
Next, you need to tap on Reserve This Amenity under the amenity you want to reserve.
PS: We also have fun games you can reserve any day of the week! Look out for games like Baggo and Giant Connect Four you can reserve to play ahead of time and pick up from the concierge on duty.
Step #4: Review the Rules
Before you reserve an amenity, it’s important to read over all the rules for using that space. No one amenity has the same rules!
For example, food is permitted in some rooms and not others. There are also limits for how many guests may be in the room with you. It's your responsibility to familiarize yourself with these rules and make your guests aware as well.
Important Note: Every amenity except for the Banquet Room is free for residents and their guests to use. For more information about the fees associated with using the Banquet Room, please review that section thoroughly. You will need to submit your reservation request and pay these fees before our staff can approve your reservation.
Step #5: Reserve the Amenity
Now that you know the rules, you can fill out the reservation form.
You will need to provide your name, reservation date, check-in time, and reservation duration before tapping Continue. Then, you will prompted to answer some questions so we can get more details about your reservation.
When you're done, hit Submit.
Now, once you go back to Amenities and select History from the top of your screen, you will see your reservation listed!
Pro Tip
If you get served an error for the date and time you select, that means that amenity is not available for that date or time, or you violated one of the stipulations provided in the rules.
Review the rules and double check your date before you try to submit your reservation again.
